Gender-speak for someone who is not transgender. Cis is an organic chemistry term which refers to a molecule with its functional groups on the same side, as would be the case for someone who is good with the gender of his or her birth. Trans means the functional groups are on the opposite sides, so the genitals you were born with don’t represent the gender you feel you are.
