PENILE FIBROSIS (CAVERNOSAL FIBROSIS)

When scar tissue forms on the corpora cavernosa of the penis (the corpora cavernosa are the two chambers that inflate with blood when a man gets an erection). As a result of penile fibrosis, erections can develop strange curves, like if you were trying to blow up a balloon that has a piece of tape on one side. The resulting loss of elasticity is a cause of Peyronie’s disease.
